Hoopla Service to End January 1

Like many public libraries throughout the state, we’ve made the difficult decision to end our contract with the streaming service hoopla Digital, effective January 1, 2025. This is due to a quoted 452% price increase for 2025, which our operating budget simply cannot absorb.

North Shore Library patrons can continue to access ebooks, downloadable audiobooks, e-magazines, and digital videos through OverDrive’s Libby app and Kanopy.

Our commitment remains to offering sustainable and high-quality resources to our community. We appreciate your understanding as we work towards finding the most viable solutions while ensuring fiscal responsibility.
