Schedule an appointment to use one of our in-library self service kits - no library card needed. Appointments are required and must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.

Epson Scanner

The Epson Scanner kit is available for in-library use, no library card needed. Appointments are required and must be scheduled at least 48 hours in advance.

Library staff can provide basic assistance with digitization but please note the kits are a self service item. For further instruction please watch our YouTube tutorial.

The Epson Scanner kit includes a laptop equipped with scanning software, an Epson Perfection V600 Photo Scanner, and instructions. Patrons will need to supply their own digital storage, such as USB drives, or cloud storage.

VHS to DVD Kit

Digitize your old VHS tapes with the Elgato Video Capture VHS to DVD converter. The library has 2 VHS to DVD kits: a circulating kit available for checkout and an in-house kit for use in the library. A library card in good standing is required for the circulating kit and appointments are required for the in-house kit.

Library staff can provide basic assistance with digitization but please note the kits are a self service item. To learn the basics of how to use the kit, check out our YouTube tutorial.

​Please note, the VHS to DVD kit should only be used for personal film digitization. Digitization of copyrighted material is prohibited.

In-Library Kit
The in-library VHS to DVD kit includes a laptop equipped with digitization software, an Elgato Video Capture, a VCR player, and instructions. ​Patrons are responsible for providing their own digital storage, such as discs, flash drives, or cloud storage. DVD Re-Writable (DVD RW) discs are available for purchase at the circulation desk for $1.00 each.

Circulating Kit
The circulating VHS to DVD kit includes an Elgato Video Capture, a VCR player, and instructions. Patrons will need to supply their own computer and digital storage, such as discs, USB drives, or cloud storage. A download of the free Elgato video capture software will also be required.

The circulating kit is available to check out for seven days. The kit is non holdable and non renewable. Patrons will be charged an overdue fine of $1.00 per day. Damage or loss of the kit will result in a replacement fine of $200.

Please note, the circulating VHS to DVD kit can only be checked out and returned at the circulation desk during open hours. The kit should not be returned in the book drop.

Wolverine 8mm and Super 8 Converter

Digitize your 8mm or Super 8 film with the Wolverine Reels2Digital Moviemaker. It works like a typical projector, you mount the 3 inch or 5 inch reel, insert a memory card, and the apparatus will play the film while creating digital MP4 movie file.

Our circulating kit is available to check out for seven days. The kit is non-holdable and non- renewable. Patrons will be charged an overdue fine of $1.00 per day. Damage or loss of the kit will result in a replacement fine of $305.

Please note, the circulating Wolverine 8mm and Super 8 Converter kit can only be checked out and returned at the circulation desk during open hours. The kit should not be returned in the book drop.
